Lesson 6 · 1:01
Disaster Mitigation
Record the unit's impact-resistant windows as a mitigation feature and describe them in the commentary.
Transcript
Disaster Mitigation
Disaster Mitigation lists features that protect the home from natural disasters, like storm shutters, impact-resistant glass or a fortified roof. Open it from the section list.
Storm shutters
Mitigation Feature is required. The listing reports new impact windows, and we saw them at the inspection, so add an entry and choose Impact Resistant Glass. A home with no mitigation features gets None instead, and then this section doesn't print on the report.
Describe the feature
Once a feature is listed, Disaster Mitigation Commentary is required. Say what's there and where it's reported: the MLS listing reports new impact windows, and the inspection photos show them.
Energy Efficient and Green Features
Photos of the windows can go in the exhibits, but they're optional. The check mark in the section list means every required answer is in. Next, Energy Efficient and Green Features.
